Tryon Creek State Park is a 635 acre natural day-use area about 1 mile from the hotel.  The park has 8 milesOswego-page-1 of biking trails, 3.5 miles of horse trails, and 3 miles of paved bike paths. Over 50 species of birds and many small animals, including beaver, live in the park.  Downtown Portland is only a 15 minute drive from the hotel.  While downtown you can walk around Pioneer Courthouse Square, shop to your heart's content at places like Nike Town & Nordstrom, walk along Tom McCall Waterfront  Park, and eat at the many great restaurants.


Oregon Coast - Only a 1 1/2 hour drive from Lake Oswego is the Pacific Ocean. The Oregon coastline has breathtaking scenery and wonderful sandy beaches. Explore the many beach towns such as Cannon Beach which has Haystack Rock and Seaside where all the kids go. Drive south to Lincoln City and shop at the outlet center, try your luck at the casino, or go to Newport and visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Columbia River Gorge - Take the historic Columbia River Gorge Highway along the Columbia River. Stop at Multnomah Falls where you can hike to the top for a spectacular view of the gorge and the falls.  Mt. Hood is only 1 hr 15 minutes from Lake Oswego.  Enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing in the winter months, and great hiking and mountain biking in the summer.
