Event Info
June 20, 2026
11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Juneteenth Oregon celebrates the date in 1865 when Major General Gordon Granger read “General Order No. 3” in Galveston, Texas, declaring that all slaves were free. Juneteenth OR supports cultural diversity, which is important because communities, workplaces, and schools increasingly comprise various cultural and ethnic groups. Juneteenth encourages these communities to learn from each other to facilitate collaboration and cooperation.
